Project cargo
Oversized and overweight cargo means pieces beyond standard dimensions or weight, which will not go into a container and cannot move on a normal vehicle. They need specialised equipment, their own movement permit and a plan worked out leg by leg in advance.
A turbine rotor, a bridge girder or a pressure vessel all fall into this group. Morning Logistics surveys the route, works out the lifting plan, obtains the oversize and overweight permit and gets the equipment to site on programme.
Scope of work
Excavators, bulldozers, rollers, graders, piling rigs and crawler cranes, usually on a lowbed trailer to bring the overall height down.
Hydro and thermal power equipment, pressure vessels, rotors and stators for energy projects, moved against the owner’s installation milestones.
Bridge girders, steel building structures, precast concrete elements and large metal castings.
The trailer is picked on the height and the weight of each piece, counting the deck height when the bridge clearance is checked.
Pieces beyond the road limits transfer to a barge on the inland waterways or to a specialised coastwise vessel.
Bridge clearance measured, turning radius and road and bridge load capacity surveyed along the route, then the movement permit obtained for each leg.
Lifting capacity calculated, the lashing plan drawn up and the crane positions set at the delivery point, with an acceptance record to go with it.
Road and waterway run together for long routes or oversized pieces, transhipping at river and sea ports.
The dimensions and weight of the piece measured, and the collection and delivery points surveyed.

Run inside the permitted hours, with escort vehicles and cargo escorts where needed.
The piece set down on its foundation or support, with acceptance alongside the project owner.
